Notes:
A Bit Of Rough!
By George Webber.
The result from the second game of the season was disppointing, because we should have easily won it. The Colts were clearly the better team throughout the entire match but failed to convert all the chances. Barnes' pre match team talk (T.H.I.N.K) was motivating and sent the team out thinking positively.

From the off we all knew that Rotherfield were going to be a rough bunch of lads. They lunged into tackles seemingly without a care in the world of the damage they might cause. However, Cuckfield rose to the challenge and countered their play and battled with a desire that was going to win us this game.

The first five minutes did not go as well as we could of hoped for, by conceding a goal very early on. Luckily we did not let that get us down and we continued to play outstanding football throughout the game.

Our guest keeper Joe kept us in the game on numerous occasions with some spectacular saves. Callum who played out on the right, produced some sweet runs and great crosses into the box and there was some outstanding defending by our two centre backs, Chris and Woody. Captain Adam showed good leadership throughout the match.

Going into half time the Colts were undeservedley 2-0 down, but not beaten. We went back out with our heads held high after Mick's strong team talk telling us we can win and we are the better team. We did eventually put the ball in the net, near the end of the game, with a great goal scored by Jack. George played the ball up the left line to Woody who then played it into the box. Jack, on the third attempt after being blocked twice by the Rotherfield defenders, put the ball away. At this stage Barnes' was doing cartwheels on the sidelines.

Well played boys, I think everybody deserved MOM this week, lets hope we come out on top next Saturday.
