Notes:
First Showings!
By Brian Newton.

Chris Lane – made some great saves

Dave Sarling – MOM, played right back

Mark Franklin – solid performance considering he’s not been training

George Delaney – didn’t put a foot wrong (apart from gifting them a goal) good debut

Jordan Collins – steady, should have cleared the ball, but hesitated and gave a goal away.

Jody Minton – absolutely brilliant, was my MOM

Danny Tugwell – amazing, great running, power and pace

Sam Holman– had an off day, but didn’t stop running

Nolan Mortimer – quiet, I think the heat got to the ‘oldtimer’

Ben Wade – played an unfamiliar position, so looked a bit lost, but I can see he’s going to be a good player

Keith Chamberlain – looked uncomfortable playing wide left, switch to sweeper and looked great. Another excellent debut.

Subs

Dan Clark – came on a looked lively. Keeps naturally wide and has good positioning. I like the look of him and his pants!

Ali Eagle – came on at left back and made some good tackels

Roy Arnold – scored a good goal

Steff de Larrabeiti – very tricky, sometimes over complicates things, but has so much potential and ability.

We lost 4-1. No yellow or red cards. Ben Wade set up Roy for a really nice goal. 3-0 at half time, goals scored after 5, 20 & 35 mins. They got a fourth on 60 mins, we scored on 75 mns.

Everyone was very positive and although we lost I thought we dominated the midfield. Bring back Shorty, Blore and chez at the back with Will and Lusky, plus we’ve got Ben learning a new position and Dan and Steff look lively....it’s all good.
